It all started when...
“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
My story began when I was on a plane and read that quote in the in-flight magazine… it inspired me. Now, with over 15 years experience working with children as a Primary School Teacher, Playworker and Children’s Entertainer, I have gained an incredible passion for all things child-related.
Having been in education for a number of years, I had noticed that so many children were not ‘enjoying’ their learning.
When I had children myself, we decided that traditional schooling was not the right fit for our family. Many found this an unusual choice being a teacher, however in our opinion there was no contest.
People home-educate for a variety of reasons and for us it was simply that we had the opportunity to work alongside our children in their learning journey. We are able to offer experiences and choices that would be impossible in any other circumstances.
It is because of this that Little Wonders was born. We wanted to support other children and families with their own unique journeys.
It is our hope that together we can help to enable all children to succeed.
