Little Adventurers

9 - 12 years

The middle childhood years is an important time for children to gain a sense of responsibility with their growing independence.  Children are encouraged to think about skills and abilities they would like to have and about how to develop them enabling ownership and goal setting.  With an increased attention span, they are able to make their own decisions and can implement activities where they can use their personal strengths.

We expand thinking by considering many points of view, comparing and debating ideas or opinions helping children to interpret the context of text and write their own stories.

positive cognitive development

Adventurer Workshops aim to support children’s confidence as they master new skills.  Providing thought provoking materials and challenging games to help rapidly developing thinking skills. We encourage children to begin to think hypothetically, considering a number of possibilities and to reason from known principles forming new ideas and questions.

With developing an increased capacity for abstract thought the children are able to approach complex issues and analyse more extensively. Activities such as board games and card games are used to help strategic and logical thinking.

expression

Our activities allow children to experience a wider range of creative possibilities which help to develop special interests. By providing materials which let children explore creativity, they are able to take pride and express themselves enabling them to pursue their abilities. This personalised journey creates a great source of motivation supporting confidence and independence.
